Described as one of “The Best New Hotels of 2013” by Condé Nast Traveler, The James Royal Palm oceanfront hotel on South Beach offers 393 guest rooms with residentially styled, artistically inspired details. Designed by Rottet Studio, The James Royal Palm is a tribute to the original Royal Palm Hotel’s rich history, keeping intact signature elements such as the compass rose on the terrazzo lobby floor, green glass reception desk and porthole windows in the lounge. Spaces are dressed with works from local and international artists, as well as carefully chosen furnishings, including the Tractor Barstool from DWR Contract. Inspired by a tractor seat found on the side of the road, this stool is carved from sustainably and locally harvested top-grade hardwood, then finished by hand in oil and sealant. For this open-air space, the client requested lightweight yet durable furniture that was in stock for fast delivery. We supplied them with the Loll Fresh Air Table 58 and the Shot Café Chair. Sized to seat four perfectly, Table 58 is constructed of maintenance-free, colorfast recycled plastic with just enough weight to stay put in gusty wind. Comfortable and compact with a low price point, Shot features powder-coated steel tube and mesh construction and stacks up to 12 high, standing up to wear and tear while offering supreme maneuverability. Consistently ranked at the top in product quality, Continental Tire manufactures and distributes a complete line of passenger, light truck and commercial tires for North and South American markets. Its state-of-the-art 75,000-square-foot headquarters in northern Lancaster County houses hundreds of people, so the tire purveyor takes office seating seriously, to say the least. Shown here is one of the larger gathering areas outfitted with the Panton Chair from DWR Contract. This stacking cantilevered piece was the first single-material, single-form chair ever made. Constructed of colorfast, durable polypropylene, it’s great for casual seating spaces. Follow the link below to learn more.

A classic eatery where interplay between the preparers and diners is expected, The Spence serves accessible, ingredient-driven food. Its culinary team is led by Richard Blais, acclaimed chef, restaurateur and author – and 2011 winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars. In keeping with the restaurant’s mission to foster a relaxed atmosphere that encourages engagement with patrons, DWR Contract supplied the easygoing Lisboa Side Chair. This unassuming chair is lightweight, stackable up to six high and BIFMA approved, making it ideal for dining spaces. Lisboa is right at home with The Spence’s warm design elements, which include white lacquered brick, navy repurposed wood, cream plaid drapery and pine and zinc tabletops.
