To honor the 30th anniversary of her groundbreaking rug company, Nani Marquina commissioned a series of sketches by fellow designer Jaime Hayon, which were then transformed into a series of striking rugs. Handtufted from 100% wool, the Vis a Vis Rug (2022) initially appears to be nothing more than a tangle of random shapes and colors. Upon closer inspection, however, one recognizes lips, eyes, a nose, and more – giving expression (literally) to any room. Made in India.
